I have an LC-II with a lot (probably 1,000K worth, at least) of old Microsoft Word 5.0 files on it that are important to me. Although the computer still works well, I would like to transfer those files to a more permanent storage solution, ideally one that can be readable by PC's. What is the best way to do this? Do I just laboriously transfer them onto floppy disks and then try to find someone who can transfer the files to a new format? Would a newer Mac be able to read the files off those disks? Sadly, I don't use Mac's anymore and I don't know much about how the newer software reads old Word files.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
