Well, I don't know how well a PC version of Word can read a Mac Word
produced file. I expect it should have no problem as long as the file is
on a disk readable by the operating system on the PC. Thus, there are a
number of options.

The "simplest" would be to stick a PC formatted floppy in the LC-II and
save the files to the disk. Make sure the files have the proper 8.3 file
name and extension. Depending on the operating system of the LC-II, PC
exchange most likely is installed so this would be no problem. If there
are "only" 1,000K of files, one floppy should do it. May take a few
minutes, but...

If the LC-II has a modem connection to the internet, you could send the
files to an ftp storage site and then retreive them with the PC. Probably
more of a PITA than it is worth unless you like remote storage.

Don't see why a "newer" Mac would have a problem reading files off the
disks, unless you happen to be stuck with one of the "floppy-less"
new-fangled things.

I transferred some old Apple ][ files from 5 1/4 floppies to Apple ][ 3
1/2 floppies and then burned them to CDs for someone faced with a similar
problem. Smooth as silk.
