This is not the same as running a unsupported OS on a bog standard 7300. Ever wonder why 9.2.x isn't supported as os option? Since there's a problem each and everytime something is added to this 7300 wouldn't you wonder if its not something else? Rather use the 7300 than the imac even if the thing is twice its age. Best experience with plug and play was dropping a usb/fw card in. No bells and whistles, just turn on the extensions. The mac in the lounge is a 5500/250, maxed to a whopping 128mb (minus 2mb for video) powered by a earth shattering 603e, a typical ide mac. Less than impressive with next to no real expansion option, why would you upgrade one unless you loved it?
