I personally hate the early PPC's. I have both a 7200/90 (Slow), and a 4400/160 (European - Probably one of the worst macs ever built) which has made me bitter. The 4400 in particular drives me up the wall. It is painfully slow to boot (no matter what OS or how much memory - I have 7 Macs so I have a lot to compare it to), it's ugly, heavy, takes up too much space, is noisier than an airplane taking off, and dont even go there for OS performance! It handles anything from 7.5 through to 9.1 poorly, and takes that god awful RAM that you cant find anywhere. I have a Performa 450 and 638 which both perform much better than the PPC's with the SAME OS.
So... I wholeheartedly agree with vintage quality - Hooray for 68k and boo to early PowerPC! I do however love the performance of my G3 and G4 iMacs - they will last me a lifetime...a.k.a until they release a G5 specifically for the home user market.
