There must be some trick to removing the power supply from the Mac IIcx. The manual talks about a latch but I do not see a latch anywhere. The side facing the mother boards seems to lift but the side facing the sides of the computer doesn't lift. I need to remove it to put another floppy drive in there. Any ideas?
As a picture (or two) is worth... quite a bit
http://www.danamania.com/temp/psu_latch1.jpg shows the latch with the psu in place. It's that vertical piece of plastic that goes downwards. The arrow points to the bit where part of that plastic fits into a hole on the power supply.
http://www.danamania.com/temp/psu_latch2.jpg shows its other side, with the psu taken out, just for a bit clearer view :).
If you get a finger underneath the PSU and push the latch piece forwards it'll allow that part of the PSU to rise, so that the only thing holding it in is friction where it slots into the side of the case. That can take a bit of wriggling to get out if it hasn't been moved before.
