I have just found two old LCs.

I would like to rejuvenate them so that students and lab assistant can use them.

In our environment we have already moved to OS X, airport etc..., however I believe these vintage Macs are worth a few bucks for upgrading them.

If you are in an OS X Environment you have an uphill struggle on your hands to get them to integrate. Add to that the fact that upgrades are rare and subsequently very expensive.

So the idea is to upgrade the LC with the Sonnet PrestoPlus thing

The LC is not exactly a masterpiece of design internally, the bus is very slow, the PDS interface slot id very limited (there are plenty of cards for it but they are all slow). Spending however many bucks it is to install a Presto Plus is not really feasible, unless you have a large budget you are trying to burn off.

but for the LC 475 (a.k.a. Quadra 605, Performa 475 or 476 ) there are no PPC upgrade still availabe.

Not new, however there are a few on eBay and the like.

Where should I look for, for a Quadra 605 upgrade to a PPC?

eBay, LEM Swap and other 'Mac Swap' groups. yo could also try getting on touch with a local Mac User Group if there is one in your area.
