I have a couple of LC II's with that swap, but the LC's fan and speaker arrangement prohibits the swap in it's chassis. A jury rig would help that one, too, I know, but I wanted to know, as a sort of historic aside, how well this particular upgrade would help the LC's overall performance. Again, it WAS much faster. But I went online with I.E. 2 and the older MacPPP setup. Justifying the thought that not ALL the older acceleration pathways were necessarily cost-effective, I came to the conclusion that, as this Mac was pretty much pre-Internet anyway, it probably WAS worth the expense. And this Mobius IS clock-chipped, having the 20Mhz. oscllator as opposed to the dead 16.5 one it came with. But with two design flaws, no extra RAM and the CPU was face down causing poor heat dissipation, it was probably only intended to speed up the LC for working with apps. Now, it's just a rare historic curiosity. Jeff -- Vintage Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
