Hi Guys,

I'm just starting into Mac world (I'm used to PCs, Windows and Linux).

I have the base unit of an LC 3 (or is that LCIII) and power lead.

LC III

Can anyone tell me the basics? Like: do I need a Mac versions of: - Screen - Keyboard - Mouse or can I use PC versions with the right cables?

Screen - Easy, you need a VGA adapter. I've seen them priced from $2 - $40.

Keyboard and Mouse - possible but not recommended. The adapters are likely to cost more than ADB (Apple Desktop Bus) keyboard and mouse.

Can I connect the unit to an ethernet?

Yes, there are several vendors who make LC Ethernet adapters. The Apple OS install includes the drivers for most such adapters (most manufacturers copied the Apple card more or less). There are a few early cards which only work with LC I and LC II computers but they are fairly rare.
