Was there ever a Wide SCSI NuBus controller?
Yep. The FWB Jackhammer and ATTO Silicon Express IV are both 68-pin/50-pin dual standard. AFAIK they are Fast wide, although I am trying t get another ATTO SIEV from a guy i know to test if they are UW SCSI.
Especially a non-busmaster one? If I could run my 18.2gig Seagate SCA drive in Wide mode it might be able to keep up with the Media 100's video capture, which it can't in narrow mode. I had to RAID 0 stripe a pair of 2gig drives and a pair of 1gig drives to do it.
With a Jackhammer and a 10krpm Cheetah 18XL I can almost grab at 30 fps 640x480 but it drops a frame every 2 secs or so. I can easily grab [EMAIL PROTECTED] though. I think as a noticably faster card the SEIV will give me the extra oomph required to capture full res 30fps on the old 840av. Dunno what the Media 100 is like for output so can't say for certain.
