I am not sure if this is a thread that I should take to one of the sister lists
but I am curious about doing something more unusual with Copy II (the disk
utility).

Can you get Copy II to perform a blind copy, bit for bit? Does it like 5.25
media?

(Is a disk a disk? [meaning number of tracks, hard or soft sectors])

I have just received some very very essential discs which have remained
unsealed since 1986. They are very machine specific- I believe they are
possibly straight Z80 language. I have no idea what the file format is- they
are for a sampling keyboard called the Emulator II. If there are any fans of
eighties music on the list- this is the SOUND of Depeche Mode, Jean-Michel
Jarre, Vangelis and countless bloody others. Its very dear to me.

What I would like to do is extract images of this lovely arcana as they are
the diagnostics necessary for when the machine breaks down.

Where can I find alignment or schematics for the A9M0107? Is there one of those
cute little service manuals floating around in pdf?

I have a IIfx, SE/30... and somewhere with a blown CRT a Mac Plus- Is it
possible to connect the A9M0107 to any of these machines in order to attempt to
copy said media? Or should I just find some Shugart emulation thingy and try to
do this in Linux?
