I have an HP ScanJet 4p with an odd problem. It works
fine at any resolution below 300dpi, but when I
try 300dpi or higher, it'll scan in short bursts,
back up a bit and go again and the scanned image
has random horizontal bands missing one or two of
the three primary colors.

I wonder if it uses a completely seperate system
for scanning at 300+ dpi? Perhaps with a rotating
filter that's gotten balky?

It will be total Fandemonium!
