Thanks for the replies, I've tried PC MacLAN in a illegal way (I couldn't
find the shareware version anywhere!), but I still have to buy the switch,
and insert the Ethernet card on the LCIII (it is from another LCIII, but
that one is not at my house, I do not have the room for more than 5
computers! (and my mother is already starting to complain ;-)

If I use PC MacLAN, all I have to do is to install the software on the PCs,
connect the cables, and configure both Macs and PCs, right?

Correct. On the Mac, specify EtherTalk as your AppleTalk connection, turn File Sharing on, etc., just like you would to share to another Mac. On the PC, launch PC MacLan, turn on the File Server, right-click your C drive or whatever folder/volume you want to share and indicate you want to share it over AppleTalk.

From the Mac Chooser, you should see the PC like any other Mac share. From the PC's Network Neighborhood (or <ahem> "My Network Places"), you should find "AppleTalk" as a new icon and, when doubleclicked, you should see available AppleTalk shares that look and behave like PC shares in Network Neighborhood do.

And yeah, as far as know it works with the AppleTalk of any older Mac, System 7.0.1 or whatever.

I don't have to
install some software in the Macs? 7.5.1 works as well as 7.6.1 in such
matters, right?

I also have an Internet connection in one of my PCs (it's an USB ADSL modem,
and as I don't have any USB ports in my vintage Macs...). The PC is running
Windows XP. Can I share the Internet connection with the Macs I own, like
that thing in Windows XP? It was not for browsing, only for putting my
9-year-old brother checking his e-mail on is LCIII... And I could get my
SE/30 running a web server...

Greetings (by the way, I'm doing a page about Macs (mainly OLD Macs). Its
primary language is Portuguese, but I could try making an English
version...)
