One pin (2) on the ADB cable is devoted to power on.  The only thing required 
is to ground it (pin 4) momentarily.

1       ADB     Bidirectional data bus for input and output.
2       POWER ON        Enables power to be turned on from the keyboard
3       +5VDC +5 V power        3 +5VDC +5 V power
4       GND Logic ground        4 GND Logic ground


Picture looking into the desktop device or computer. (Ask off line if the 
picture gets cut by the list.)
