Connectors? what kind of connectors. All I've detected are rivets
throuogh the cap. My cap is sturdy aluminum and not badly dented from
large hail (even though it was a Bismark in '93). 

I was figuring on using some 3/4" D shaped low temperature gasket. I'll
have to measure to be sure it closes the gap.
