Hi fellas, I need your help. This friday I am going to check out this 66 bug. I'm having mixed emotions about it right now. After all, not including the splits, ovals and hebs, 66(or 65) is my favorite year model bug.
The owner is asking P38,000(US$780) for it. He says his price is firm. Check out the pics here http://new.photos.yahoo.com/petertammer/ Just from the photos you can tell that most parts are from a later model bug. I don't care too much about authenticity, but there's a small well no BIG matter about the driver's side A-pillar that scares me. The photo isn't very clear and I haven't seen it in person but you can see that the front hood is raised 1-2 inches, the hinges seem goofy and that general area looks like it was in a really bad accident. What do you think? Run away as far as I can from it? Any comments are welcome.
