Volks,

The luggage shelf behind the rear seat of my stock 1970 is covered with a
fabric-backed "square-pebble grain" vinyl. It's mackerel gray and has a
tiny random black print on it. The backside of the rear backrest is also
covered with it, so when it's folded down the entire storage area has this
tough pebbled vinyl covering. It is bound in a gray canvas-like rug
binding. Mine is made in Germany by Degussa (according to the imprint on
the back).

But part of mine is UV-decayed, and part of it got wiped out with some wet
rot. I've looked at all the catalogs I know of, and shopped a sample around
to every local upholstery shop, all without success.

Does anybody know of a source for replacement material?

I'm getting really tired of this. Am I the only one looking for
impossible-to-find restoration materials? Or am I just looking in all the
wrong places?
