My reply to this a bit earlier vanished into thin air a few hours ago.
Heres whats bothering me now. John Deere was American. The horn button in
question has a Petri logo along with the words 'Made in Germany-West' at the
back. According to what I gather, John Deere had nothing to do with Germany, or
did he??
The button itself is caked with grime and grease at the back, I have so
far not cleaned it which should be done after dismantling it, which Id do while
bitting my fingernails!
There is a central contact which looks like the style used on 50s VWs
against the push on later style terminals.
Any further thoughts??
