   Thanks for the thought on this. I did not actually see the gauges as the 
main knowledgeable shopkeeper was out. Id keep that in mind. Good point.
 
    However I noticed that the VDO gauges made in Italy had a cheap looking 
finish of the dial n glass than the Chinese made ones. Funny. But the 
shopkeeper recommended the VDO ones very highly over the chinese.
