Guys, The factory brochure for the VW police models (from Aug 69 on) lists the equipment making up the "police package." The list includes "Abschleppösen vorne und hinten." But it doesn't say how these towing eyes are mounted. The rear one (which I have) is part of the bumper bracket, but it's entirely possible that it's welded onto the lower tube. But the transverse tube on my standard USA '70 chassis has no such towing eye.
Is a puzzlement. Bert |__n__ (_____)º (Ô\_|_/Ô) ü ° ° ü -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Gerald V. It states that the '72 FRONT was welded to the axle tube or frame head as Marc stated. Not on the bumper bracket. I'll still have a look at AirBall though. It may be Tuesday before I get out there.
