Hi Gang, I am in the process of resetting my rear suspension angle (bit of sag on the old girl's bottom) and also replacing the spring plate bushings. I'm looking for opinions here:
Should I replace the bushings with a set of OEM rubber ones made in Mexico that I have on hand or, should I go with the poly type of bushing (a la Energy Suspensions et. al.)? The car is essentially stock. How much stress is actually on these bushings? The new OEM Mexican-made parts seem softer than the original German ones and I'm concerned the rubber will not hold up as well as the orignals. Is squeaking still an issue with the poly bushings? I haven't been able to find a source of German-made bushings or I'd have gotten them.
