Hello Mike,

Where are you located?  I doubt if you'd have much luck at Autozone, Checker, 
ect. However, any large city should have several after market vintage VW or 
"Bug" repair shops/parts stores listed in the yellow pages. Albuquerque is 
about 450k population and we have two great shops. Try that route and see what 
you come up with. Otherwise I'd try on line: "BFY", "CPI", West Coast Metric, 
"Mid American Volkswagen, to name just a quick few. I'm sure other listers 
could recommend a particular vendor that they are pleased with.
