Volks,
I have cleaned and repainted the stock air cleaner on my German-spec 1970
beetle 1500. But the one shown in the Owner's Manual has a big ol'
rectangular sticker on the front -- and a little part-number sticker, even.
Sadly, the big sticker isn't legible.
I've checked my usual sources (WCM, Karmann Konnection, the Samba) and found
nothing relevant. Does anybody know (a) where a reproduction of the
original German sticker can be ordered, or (b) what one looked like, so I
can fabricate a decent counterfeit? Even a snapshot would be welcome.
