Well, even though I'm not a very active or particularly skilled listee, I've
been here since about 2004. My '74 Bus is peacefully resting, awaiting the next
camping call (Bustoberfest, here we come!). My restored '56 Beetle is also
resting peacefully under wraps (don't get much chance to cruise these days, too
busy with real life). And I did have to unload my beloved daily driver last
December ('70 standard Beetle)- it was becoming a safety hazard due to rust. I
did sell it to Eric Ghan in Iowa, who resold it to someone who had promised to
fix it up. Good luck with that, I had 2 different rounds of "semi-restoration"
on that vehicle and it had been moderately "modified" (I welded the body to the
pan in a couple of places for structural strength).
Looking forward to Bustoberfest. See some of you there (bring your
instruments!).

Still here, although Sharkey is in storage because my current job involves
driving 40,000+ kms per year, and I just couldn't do that to her. So I
invested in Sharkey v2.0 and picked up a brand new Saturn Astra 3-door when
the market was at rock bottom (I got it for $10,000 CAN off the MSRP price).
While I still take v1.0 out from time to time, when you're driving 40,000+
kms per year as part of your job, it's kinda nice to be surrounded by modern
comfort and safety.

Yeah, what happened to this list. In the heyday I was getting about 40-60
