Bob Hoover was truly something else. I remember reading with rapt attention, his story about picking up Gretl, the splitty that was in "good" shape, getting it running, and driving her home. Even though I throttled back on the VWs for a while, I intend to get back into them. My wife and I are planning on getting us a house on our land in the country and God willing, with a nice big and new shop. Not a day goes by that I don't think of the VW greats such as Bill May, Jim Anderson, Gene Berg, Scott Yuppa, Geoff Melnychunk, Ron Salmon, RMMW, Bob Hoover, Charlie Ford and the Search for the Beginning of Wind, Glen Hadley, Ronnie Fietelson, Phil Cram, Rob Laffoon, Rick & Rachel Taylor, Keith Petite and family, Bryant and Carrie, Dodge City Contingent, Dan Kinsey, J.P. Henriksen, John Howard and wife, Terry Wolfe, Doug Pillen, and the list just goes on and on. These are the people who helped me with my VWs and made my life what it is today. I wish you all a wonderful time during this holiday season and never take anyone for granted. As time marches on, I keep in mind that none of us are getting any younger and slowly but surely I will be losing all of you until it's my turn. Somber though it seems, it means live each day to the fullest and appreciate what you've got.
Thanks everyone and have a great New Year! Erin/NQ _______________________________________________ vintagvw site list [email protected] http://lists.sjsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/vintagvw
