Guys,

Ok, vw world has been a little slow for me, but my 1968 1776 turbo is just about ready to get some paint and interior.

I have 4 undrilled rotors to finish out the conversion to disk brakes and hope to get them to the machine shop just before new years.

I am going to have them drilled 4x100(watercooled size) cause I am so sick and tired of the standard 5 or 6 versions of wheels for the bugs....and I want 17's so that I can run smaller tires and still have near standard running diameter.

I have some 17" nice looking "free" wheels that I am going to put on.

They came off a Corrado, but also are the same size as 17" mini cooper replacement wheels.

Basically, the point is to be able to pick from an almost infinite variety
that don't look like the same old thing. BTW, some new wheels of this size and pattern are going for $100 each on tire rack these days.

That's my story and I'm sticking with it!

Cheers, dave

Glad to hear at least several of you enjoyed it.

I sort of hijacked this thread to see if anyone had any good projects happening
that they wanted to share, anything now or the recent past?

Ray,

That was just wonderful...even several days after Christmas!
