Tonight I was working on a mount that will fit in a receiver hitch so I can
mount an aircraft engine on it to test run it and the welder broke. My
little Clark 100E finally gave up the ghost after 20 years of faithful
service. I don't know how to troubleshoot it, but I do know when I turn on
the switch, nothing happens. When I switch from high to low power I see the
power switch flicker but that's it. I'm thinking it's time to finally get a
real welder and was wondering what all of you use?

I've heard the Millermatic 250 series is the best welder a guy can use for
welding thick stuff and doing body work. I seldom need to weld over 1/4"
and when I do, I stick welder it with the arc welder.

I'm open to any suggestions from all of you listees as to what you suggest.
