I've had a Lincoln SP125 MIG welder for about ten years - had to replace
the guide tube for the wire twice so far, and the drive wheels for the
wire a few times also, otherwise, it's been very reliable. Can run off
115V or 230V. It does tend to shut down due to overheating if you do a
lot of welding all at once. I've got a really old 225 amp AC stick
welder with a high frequency adapter, also really old, that I use for
heavy stuff.

The Miller welders are great, if a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.

I'm saving up my pennies for a real TIG machine, myself. MIG works, but
is a bit sloppy for doing really precise welds in sheet metal.
