I've used both Pertronix and CompuFire without any problem.

The CompuFire was purchased from AirCooled.net in an SVDA distributor for my
daughter's 74 Bug with a PICT-34 to solve the hesitation of a 009. It's a
great setup and I have had no issues with either of them and it took care of
that flat spot.

I do remember John Connelly (sp?) from AirCooled either posted or advised that
CompuFire was purchased by another company and he was not pleased with the lack
of quality control finding a number of faulty units. This has been some time
ago so I don't know if this has been corrected but I did not find them listed
on his site anymore, only replacement magnet triggers. He used to post on the
list.

Cheers,
Nick
