Funny, I got that Leonard Plating advice just this morning from a local antique-car buff. I think that's my next stop. I understand they do a good job, and they're convenient for me. My resident guru tells me, though: for the demanding connoisseur for whom cost is no object, Uvira, in Merlin, Oregon, is unsurpassed. They're true pros. The Uvira people out in Oregon* got back to me: They will re-do a precipitated-aluminum (automotive-type) reflector for $75 per light - IF you get it first stripped, cleaned, polished, and pre-plated with copper and nickel. I have used both. Leonard's can do many types of plating and Chromemasters specializes in show chrome.
