Test the output voltage of the generator/regulator with the engine running,
rev it up a bit as generators don't work well at low rpm. You should get 13
to 14 volts when you rev it up. You can also check for parasitic losses by
turning off the car and any accessories (dome light etc.) disconnect the
ground cable on the battery, and see if there is a small spark between the
battery cable and the frame, where you disconnected it. It is a good idea
to clean up all the connections in the charging systems.
