OK Guys.. The engine was pulled last weekend and replacement 1200cc emgine fitted, MYR500 for the engine and MYR200 for labour.. about USD200 all told.
Had to use my carb, generator, fuel pump, fan cover.. engine oil is clean on the dipstick but will flush/change this weekend. A bit of the rear tin had to be ground off the edges.. Runs sweet but seems to be a bit hotter than my old engine.. after a half-hour drive the dipstick is hotter than before... I can still pull it out with my bare hands but need to keep changing hands...oh yeah.. the fweem is back too even though the exhaust looks rusty! Engine number has no prefix just 6950077... generator stand has no 'zundfolge 1432' as well.. so this is probably a mex/brazilian case? What are your thoughts on this?
