Eric,

You've found one! There were two local malls in Nashville, where I live, that
had them in service. But as indoor shopping malls have died out nationally, so
have the kiosks.

Wonder what became of all of them that were in service back during the "mall
era"?

I recall seeing these at the oasis over I90 near O'Hare. A little image
searching came up with this:

The oasis is now closed, but if you search Google images for another oasis, say
"belvedere oasis," or go for broke and look for "vw microbus vending machine,"
you can see them:

So if Kyle can't find one, Bert I am willing to take an adventure to some of
the Chicagoland oases and see what I can find. But it might take a while until
the opportune day arrives (my wife does not let me near those crane/claw games
because she *claims* I have a problem, so I'll sneak away). I looked through
some of the files at
http://www.illinoistollway.com/doing-business/goods-services/contracts-and-awards
to see if some contract ward for vending machines was in there, but I did not
see anything obvious.
