Y’know, I’ll bet what I’ve been calling “weld nuts” are really riv-nuts. They’re on my 1970 and 1972 Type 1s. I think I need to do some fresh googling…. You could spot weld plain or flanged M8 nuts or locate the weld-in style, maybe WW? Mike B.
