but how is this different from carrying your iPhone any other way, e.g. common sense?
I'm interested in such a lanyard for use around the house, like when I'm doing laundry or the dishes, and I want to use my ear buds and keep my hands free. I'm not worried about anyone snatching my iPhone from me in my own house! :-) When out about about, I don't see why you couldn't keep your iPhone on a lanyard under your shirt or jacket. This seems more secure than say holding it in my hand or an easily picked pocket.
