Thanks. There is only one place that looks like it does anything, it is a button right past the usb slot; it pushes in. I see nothing t hat slides. This piece is a wooden block kind of thing with a wire connected to it which is the part that fits over the ear. The wooden piece moves and you kind of move it to the side, I am assuming he mike is at the bottom of this wooden block. Makes me wonder if I got the right thing. Patti

The one closest to the part you put into your ear is actually a switch that slides toward and away from the earpiece. Toward the earpiece means the switch is in the off position.
