Hello rmanno5 and others.
You said you had Navigon in pedestrian mode... There is also pedestrian
with voice announcements mode. This must be selected,to be able to hear
turn by turn instructions.
Navigon will not announce streets as you pass, only give you advanced
notice where to turn and at the turn.

To Mike Cassidy,
Navigon is 99% accessible, in fact i do not know of anything that isn't,
but the interface was changed a few months ago, and they now allow the
phone to download only the map areas used by that particular person, so
many here have had a hard go of it.

Two things to consider. Navigon is not designed for the visually impaired
so it is not optimized for that use. It does work very well and the
interface is easy to use, once you get used to it....I use it all the time,
mostly to navigate while my wife drives, with no problems.

And, this is a large, complicated program which has a learning curve to
operate it properly.
If you do buy Navigon, plan to spend at least a couple of hours getting to
know the app.

Hope this helps,
Chuck
