Hi. no you don't have to do this with songs just with audio books. so add them to the library, then do a control i for windows or a command i for mac and go through the steps outlined in recardo's post to change the media type to audio book. You could probably also find the books you have already added to your iPhone, in your iTunes library and change the media type and sinc.
