Hi. I've done this to close apps, but FourSquare is one of the few that still seems to be running even after I have cleared it from the app switcher. I have closed it using the steps you described. Any ideas why that may be? It seems as though my power drops faster when having Foursquare running, which makes sense, but I would think that if an app is closed, then it would stop running. This has not always been the case for me though. I have an iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1.1.
