FourSquare let's you bring up a list of the places around you and then you can check in to the place where you're located. You can get tips and even deals at the place you've checked into. You can also add tips or let others, via social media sites like Twitter and Facebook, know where you are and what you're up to. It'll also recommend other locations to you based on the places you've checked into in the past. You can also make a game out of it by getting points for different check ins and competing with your friends. You can also follow friends with FourSquare to see where they are and the kind of places they enjoy and recommend.
