Something odd about this app is that I have seen it take a little longer sometimes than others. I attribute this to lighting and distance and shaking of the phone just like you said. However if I were to rate this on how many times it works perfectly on a scale of 1 to 10, I would say maybe eight times it works flawlessly. The other two times it works less efficiently but still works overall for me.
