Thank you all for the answers. Since he doesn't have his apps in folders (yet) this works for him! It wouldn't work for me either with my iPhone or iPad as I have folders and like organizing my apps in to folders, plus I've told him eventually he'll need to put them into folders as he'll run out of Home screens. He's used to Android where apps are organized and he has unlimited space for them on his phone. But, believe it or not, he likes an iPad better than his android running tablet.
