Yes David. I found this out. Still do it sometimes but just back out and
try again just in case that pesky extra finger touched. Another problem can
be had when the one-finger double-tap is done and one tap is slid down the
finger slightly. Nothing will happen, though I know I double tapped. All
in that learning curve that is steep for newbies!

Hello,

The iPhone never confuses commands. This means you are brushing your 3rd
finger against the screen without feeling it. Go to

Settings, General, Accessibility, VoiceOver, Practice Area and practice the
command until you are able to perform it without activating a different
command.

Any time you say the iPhone confuses commands, it means you are not
performing the command correctly!

Oops, my bad, I was thinking of something else when I wrote that message. My
most sincere apologies. I answer call waiting with a two-finger double-tap.
You can also find the answer button on the screen if you wish.

Hello,

This is accurate, unless you are answering call-waiting.

Can you double tap the screen with two fingers to start a call?

Is there a certain point on the screen where you should tap?

Hi,

At least for first question, you can make a call in at least three ways:

* <!--[if !supportLists]--><!--[endif]-->Use keypad: dial the phone number
using the phone keypad (from phone app, tap the keypad button to bring it).
After entering the phone number, press the call button (bottom center
between "add to contacts" and "delete" keys).

* <!--[if !supportLists]--><!--[endif]-->From contacts list: Tap the contact
you wish to call, then tap the phone number, and it should start dialing.

* <!--[if !supportLists]--><!--[endif]-->Using Siri: Bring Siri (hold down
the home key) and say, "call num" where "num" is the phone number. Speak
clearly. Or, if the phone number is in the address book, say, "call someone"
where "someone" is the name of the contact.

Once you start a call using any of these methods, double tap the screen with
two fingers to end a call.

Note that Siri works only on iPhone 4S. A similar method exists for iPhone
3GS and 4.

Cheers,

Joseph

Subject: I have a few questions

Hi,

I am wondering first how to answer and end calls using my phone?

I forget how to do this easily with my iPhone 4 s?

Then I am also wondering using the native facebook for iPhone app if there
is a way to have location turned on so you can check in to places without
the app showing your location when you post anything.
