Hello Hank,

Here is the first search result when I searched in Google for "iTunes not
recognizing iPhone":

http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/itunes/

That search, by the way, yielded a lot of results from Apple support as well
as various forums. The first thing they recommend is to restart everything
(close iTunes and restart the computer), unplug your iPhone from the
computer, turn it off completely and power it up again, also make sure your
version of iTunes is up-to-date and your iOS software is up-to-date. I can't
remember if you at some point mentioned your iPhone is Jailbroken, if it is
you may have installed a Jailbreak app which may have caused this. If that
is the case, remove whichever apps you might have installed since the last
time your iPhone was recognized and, if all else fails, you may have to
reset your iPhone to factory settings and see if that fixes the problem.

Anyhow, I hope the article gives you some ideas and that you'll figure it
out.

Regards,
Sieghard
