Hi there. Try this: Press and hold anywhere on the keyboard. Move your finger to the top of the keyboard. You will hear some symbol keys. Each represents a "symbol group". Choose the dollar symbol, for example. You can then swipe down to get other currencies. Similarly, if you choose the left parenthesis you can swipe down to get other types of brackets, and so on.
