If you don't mind carrying another device, the ID Mate bar code scanners are
better than an app. Factors: They are faster. They are one heck of a lot
more expensive. They are stand alone devices. The apps are more portable
as they are in your iDevice. The apps are accurate if used correctly. The
apps are far less expensive. With these facts, consider your priorities.
