I just tried plugging earphones into the earphone jack, while the microphone
is pluged into the power one at the bottom of my iPad, and I could hear
VoiceOver through the earphones.
Now, if only I didn't have to use the earphones to hear VoiceOver, I would
be really happy!

Karen, unless your microphone has a headphone plug on it, my original
instructions are still valid. You would plug the microphone into one input
of the Y cable and headphones into the other input.

This microphone doesn't use a cable. It just has a little end like the one
on the power cable that plugs into the 5S.
