So, are you saying that your microphone plugs into the USB connecter on the device? I didn't get that from your previous messages. Yes, there are some microphones that plug in to the USB jack and the microphone itself has a headphone jack on it. It is too bad that you can't hear VoiceOver without headphones on some of these microphones. A sighted person does not have to worry because they can see the screen, but the VoiceOver user has to go get out the headphones. This is just the way that some of the microphones out there work.
