I saw a post on Twitter from be My Eyes where they say that if you wait on hold for 15 or 20 minutes, or more, then disconnect and reconnect. They say it is not a problem of not enough volunteers, but rather of their server matching everyone appropriately. They recommend waiting no more than 5 minutes for a volunteer.
I too had my first experience with Be My eyes about 10 days ago when i needed to identify some medicines. It was 8pm Saturday night my time and I spoke with a woman from Australia. It was cool.
