My experience has been that this is sporadic. I called three people today,
and none required confirmation. I think it happens maybe one out of five
times. I can put up with that for sure.
Take care,

not in your Favourites list?

call
Hi all,
Not sure if it was a coincidence but I had to do a reset of all settings and
this fixed the siri confirmations for me.
I now have Siri acting like in previous ios. Like I said, not sure if it's
worth having !reenter all your network settings and customize the phone with
no surety that this will fix siri but just thought I'd share my unexpected
luck with it.
Using iphone 6 with latest ios. Best,
Ioana

Thanks for the feedback link. I will go there and leave my opinion. It
wasn't that way in the previous OS, and I never had a problem, and I never
heard of others I know having a problem. So I think they tried to fix
something that did not need fixing. At least, we should be able to turn it
off. Anyway, thanks for the link.

No, SIRI will ask for confirmation unless the person is in your Favorites
list and also if you call somebody and call again in a relatively short
time it will usually not ask. Not sure what that time span is. I sort of
gotten used to it, after all, all you do is wait for SIRI to say it's
thing about whether you want to call so and so, then after the beep say
Yes and it will go ahead and call. Yes, it takes an extra 10 or 15
seconds, but as of now it is what it is. You can always go to
www.apple.com/feedback and leave a comment that you don't like this
feature.

In iOS eight, Siri alwaysasks after I tell it to call someone, to confirm
do you want to call X? I hate that. I wanted just to call who I asked it
to call, what it used to do in ios7. Is there a way to stop this
unnecessary interaction between me and Siri which makes calling someone
so much less efficient?
