I used walkmeter last night outdoors walking with my girlfriend and it works great. I have it set up to announce the time elapsed, distance traveled and speed of our walk every ten minutes and when I got home, I was able to check on the calories burned. I love this app for outdoor use. The developers have done a good job with this, it is clean, easy to use and understand. I will check out runkeeper for indoor stuff today.

Guys Does anyone know if these apps work on a rowing machine? That's the only real exercise I get apart from walking to work and back and I would love to use it for that.
